What we collect
- Your name and email address, when you create an account
- A record of when you sign in and change your password, with the internet address you used
Why we collect it
To give you an account at Vic's Cafe: to sign you in, to email you the links that set or reset your password, and to keep your account secure.
Who can see it
Vic's Cafe staff. We do not sell your information. Our emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service, which receives your name and email address only to deliver them. We share nothing else with anyone.
How it's stored
Your information is stored in Microsoft Azure in New Zealand. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes — never in plain text — and password links are single-use and expire after an hour.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to close your account. Ask any of us at the counter.
